D id you know that chances to get involved in aviation are all around you? All it takes is a little research. The experience of a lifetime might be just around the corner from you. That's what I learned in the last year. I live in South New Jersey near Philadelphia. I have two sons, ages 10 and 12, who want to learn more about aviation since both their dad and I are pilots and aviation professionals. When I was a teenager, I attended an aviation day camp at my lo- cal airport, the Flying W, in Lumberton, New Jersey. About 20 years later, both of my sons attended the weeklong day camp. They learned about the four forces of flight, the phonetic alphabet, and how to build a model rocket, and did a countless number of aviation and aerospace activities.
