Pilots use a special phonetic alphabet to eliminate confusion between easily confused letters when talking on the radio. By using these words instead of letters, it's easier to be sure if someone said "B" (bravo) or "D" (delta). Practice memorizing the pilot alphabet so you can be radio ready!
